Who Are You Meeting at the Table?
Who Are You Meeting at the Table?
Welcome to the table.
I’m Savanah Daniel — a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Human Services Board-Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP), and Family Support Specialist with a Master’s degree in Human Services. But more importantly, I come from lived experience. I’ve walked alongside loved ones feeling lost, unsupported, and overwhelmed by systems that seemed built for frustration and isolation. That personal journey is what drives me — because I know what it’s like to search for help and come up short, and I’ve made it my mission to be the support I once needed.
For more than a decade, I’ve served in nearly every setting where recovery happens — from detox units and outpatient programs to prison-based treatment, youth intervention, and transitional care for those aging out of foster care and incarceration. My experience includes working with men and women behind bars, teens and adults facing substance use, families in crisis, and young adults rebuilding from systems that failed them.
What drives me most is connection — because healing doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why collaboration, community-building, and relational support are central to my approach. I believe in creating systems where individuals are seen, families are supported, and professionals work together instead of in silos.
As the Founder and Clinical Director of The Recovery Table, I’ve made it my mission to serve clients and their families with compassion, honesty, and evidence-based care — while also helping others in the field connect and grow. I believe in real conversations, practical tools, and progress over perfection.
This work is personal for me. And I’m honored to do it.
I may be the one sitting in the chair, but I never sit alone.
The work we do at The Recovery Table isn’t a solo mission — it’s sustained by connection. I’m able to show up for others because others have consistently shown up for me. Behind every session, every group, and every breakthrough are the people, partners, and powerhouses who support this mission in ways seen and unseen.
I’m deeply grateful for:
The mentors who poured wisdom into me long before I ever offered it to others.
The colleagues and peers who walk this road alongside me with courage, humor, and fierce compassion.
The community partners and providers who believe in collaboration over competition.
The family and friends who hold space for me so I can hold space for others.
And the clients — past and present — whose honesty, growth, and resilience inspire everything I do.
This table is wide because it was never meant to be built alone.
We’re stronger because we build it together.
